Chinese Veterinary Medicine:

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a systematic & holistic approach in the diagnosis & treatment of disease using Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medications, diet & lifestyle change. It is based on the philosophy of Balance (as in the Yin Yang Symbol) & uses the body’s capacity & potential to heal itself. I use it to treat a range of conditions such as allergic dermatitis, musculoskeletal issues, behavioural issues, many chronic conditions, geriatric health, cancer support, immune mediated disease, disease of the internal organs and pain.

Western Herbal Medicine

Western Herbal Medicine is a systems based approach that considers the whole patient and not just the diagnosis or the system.
Herbal medicine can be used along side and often instead of conventional medicine, especially with complicated or chronic conditions. I have undertaken training to expand my knowledge in this field and to recognise how and what may work best for your pet.
CBD Oil has been shown to significantly improve mobility, reduce pain, anxiety and allergies. It is a prescription only medicine which I can discuss with you if appropriate.

Nutrition

Food affects the digestive, metabolic and physiological processes of the body and therefore what your pet eats every day has a huge impact on their overall health. Food is medicine that you take everyday and is the first step in maintaining health and preventing future illness.

I promote a wholesome food diet for our pets and use Western & Chinese medicine, various nutraceuticals and supplements for therapeutic benefit.

Palliation and End of Life

Your pet may be terminally ill and you want to ensure your pet has the best quality of life possible with comfort and dignity. You may want to know when or how they should be leaving this world. I can assess your pet’s quality of life, give end of life counselling and together we can create a plan for palliation and / or a peaceful passing.

I can offer support and guidance during this difficult time. I can also offer you a range of options in the form of holistic therapies (Nutrition, Western and Chinese herbal medicine, Acupuncture, Manual Therapies) and conventional Western medicine to ease your pets pains and symptoms.
